Dr. Caprice Quinones has taught at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences since 2020 as a contributing faculty member and transitioned to core faculty at the Miami, FL campus in 2022. She began her career in 2018 as a physical therapist specializing in stroke and spinal cord rehabilitation at West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital in Miami. Since entering the profession, Dr. Quinones has primarily worked with patients who have neurological disease in the inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab and home health settings.

Currently, Dr. Quinones has various certifications including Neuro-IFRAH certification, Certified Stroke Rehab Specialist, EKSO Bionics Robotic Exoskeleton, Crisis Prevention Instructor, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment BIG, Rock Steady Boxing Coach, and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Credentialed Clinical Instructor Level 1 and 2. She subsequently became an APTA Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist in 2021. Dr. Quinones’ clinical and research interests center on interventions to improve the function in individuals with neurological conditions.

She currently continues to treat individuals with neurologic disorders in the private and home health setting. She served as the Physical Therapist Clinical Manager at West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Quinones is currently working on a Doctorate of Education at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Beyond her work for the University and the rehabilitation hospital, she dedicates her free time to helping underprivileged children via multiple nonprofit organizations.
