Vanessa Grijalba, OTD, OTR/L

Dr. Vanessa Grijalba has worked with clients across various settings from acute care to home health. Most of her experience has been with the adult population in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. She found her passion in orthopedic rehabilitation, most recently as a private outpatient clinic as the lead hand therapist. Dr. Grijalba joined the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2021.

Dr. Grijalba received her Bachelor of Health Services Administration from Florida International University and her Master of Occupational Therapy and Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Boston University. She is inspired by the possibility of innovation in the occupational therapy world and dedicated her doctoral project to pioneering a role for occupational therapists in the care of women in an obstetrics and gynecology primary care team.
