Dr. Sharon Glover has been an occupational therapist for over 30 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Cleveland State University and a Post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Chatham University in Pittsburgh.
She has an Executive Certification in Home Modifications (ECHM) from the University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and a Lee Silverman Voice Treatment certification for Parkinson’s Disease. Dr. Glover is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA) and has a National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification.
Dr. Glover is active in the occupational therapy (OT) profession both at state and national levels. She is a conference reviewer and a Critically Appraised Topic (CAT) reviewer for AOTA. While in Pennsylvania, she served as the Chair of the Commission on Practice committee for the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association.
Her clinical experience is in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospital, school system, skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient and home health. She has managed OT and rehabilitation departments in many of these settings. She has an interest in the older adult specifically with aging in place and productive living.
Prior to moving to Florida in 2019, Dr. Glover lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Louisiana. In addition to her clinical positions, Dr. Glover was an adjunct faculty in the Master of Occupational Therapy program at Duquesne University. Prior to joining USAHS in 2019, she was an Assistant Professor in the OT Department at Louisiana State University (LSU) Health in Shreveport. While at LSU Health, she was recognized as a Healer at the LSU Foundation Evening with Healers for her work with clients in the faculty outpatient clinic.
