Dr. Mohammed Ata is an Assistant Professor with the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Prior to joining the University, he worked as an adjunct Associate Professor at City University of New York. Dr. Ata earned his bachelor’s degree, Master of Science in Physical Therapy and Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Therapy from Cairo University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Dominican College of Blauvelt, NY. His Doctor of Philosophy studies have special emphasis on virtual reality applications, balance evaluations and treatment in central nervous system.

Dr. Ata has been practicing as a physical therapist since 2002 with dedication to pediatric and adult neurologic physical therapy. His clinical and research passion lies in brain rehabilitation treatments. Dr. Ata is a Certified Therapist in Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT) for pediatrics and adults, a Neurologic Certified Specialist (NCS), Certified Fall Prevention Specialist,  Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy Gait Trained Therapist, Advanced PNF Trained Therapist and American Physical Therapy Association Credentialed Clinical Instructor.
