Dr. Amanda Allen Parrish is a graduate of Duke University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. She joined the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) in 2016 as a contributing faculty member. In 2018 she became a full-time instructor in the DPT program for the USAHS San Marcos, CA campus, instructing in the musculoskeletal and biophysical agents’ courses.
Prior to joining the University, she worked as a physical therapist in the outpatient orthopedic setting, where she earned her board certification in orthopedics. Additionally, she is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as its California chapter, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). She is also a 2015 AAOMPT fellow.
Dr. Parrish is currently engaged in academia and clinical practice with an emphasis on orthopedic rehabilitation. Research interests include best practices in interprofessional simulations, online education and orthopedics.
