Dr. Lee Ann Hoffman is an occupational therapist with more than 20 years of experience, having worked internationally and in a variety of healthcare settings and systems throughout her career.

She is invested in contributing to the field of assistive technology and complex rehabilitation technologies. Dr. Hoffman is a Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA)-certified assistive technology professional and seating and mobility specialist. Dr. Hoffman is a servant leader and volunteers her time as co-vice chair for the RESNA 24-7 posture care management (PCM) special interest group, executive board member for the clinician task force, board member for a posture management not-for-profit, clinical advisory board member for an equipment manufacturer and as an editorial advisory board member for a rehabilitation-focused publication. Dr. Hoffman is part of the core team for the RESNA position paper for 24-hour PCM.

She is constantly seeking ways to create synergies between the individual, equipment and the environment. Dr. Hoffman is a certified aging-in-place specialist and a member of the international society of wheelchair professionals. She teaches term three Residential and Flex students assistive technology, an occupational therapy intervention on the Dallas, TX campus.

Dr. Hoffman has presented and published internationally on the subject of 24-hour Posture Care Management. She obtained her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in the Republic of South Africa and her Master of Science in posture management in the United Kingdom. Dr. Hoffman earned her post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.

She joined the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program in April 2020 as contributing faculty and transitioned as a  full-time faculty member in December 2022. In January 2024, she was promoted to her current position.
