Jennifer Susong Crowder, DSc, MOT, OTR

Interim Program Director, Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD)

Dr. Jennifer Susong Crowder has taught full-time in the Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (PPOTD) program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) since 2018, recently taking on the role of Interim Program Director.

 

In this role, she coordinates PPOTD capstone projects. Additionally, she currently works as a scientific review officer leading peer review for federally funded research.

Prior to joining USAHS, she specialized in school-based occupational therapy with 17 years of practice experience in this setting. Early practice experience included three years with primarily adult populations covering outpatient, day treatment, inpatient and skilled neuro-rehabilitation settings.

She completed a Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at East Tennessee State University.

Dr. Crowder holds state licensure in Florida and Tennessee as well as certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Her specialized training includes the USC/WPS Sensory Integration Certification Program and grant writing. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
