Dr. Albert Villanueva-Reyes is a bilingual, American Speech Language Hearing Association-certified (ASHA) speech-language pathologist with more than 30 years of experience in academic, administrative and clinical areas. He has taught at several academic institutions across the United States and Puerto Rico.
He holds a master’s degree in speech-language pathology, a doctorate in teaching and curriculum with a specialty in linguistics, and post-doctoral studies in clinical research. He earned a Certificate in Vocology (Science of Voice Habilitation) from the National Center for Voice and Speech at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Villanueva-Reyes’ areas of expertise include voice disorders, speech sound disorders, linguistics and multicultural issues. He has served on several ASHA committees and is currently a Council on Academic Accreditation site visitor, contributing his knowledge and experience to the profession’s standards. Dr. Villanueva-Reyes also completed a two-year term as vice president for educational services and a board member for the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists in July 2024.
He joined the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in December 2024.
