Dr. Martin specializes in pediatric care with a clinical and research focus on sensory regulation and leadership development. His work emphasizes the importance of family-centered care and the education and support of caregivers for children with disabilities. In addition to his clinical practice, he has taught courses on the psychosocial factors influencing occupational therapy care.

Dr. Martin’s research interests include sensory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit disorder, pediatric care and leadership skills.

In practice, Dr. Martin specializes in working with children in a variety of settings, including school systems, mental health services and sensory integration-focused care. His dedication to empowering children and families aligns with his expertise in autism spectrum disorder and his innovative approaches to care.

Dr. Martin joined the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2022 as a contributing faculty member and was promoted to his current, full-time role in December 2024.
