Monica Putt earned her Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies from the University of Arizona in 2007 before pursuing her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from New York University, graduating in 2011. In June 2023, she received international board-certified lactation consultant certification through the University of California San Diego. This milestone equipped her to integrate her infant and toddler feeding expertise with lactation consulting.
During the past two decades, Putt has provided speech-language therapy in home-based environments, public and charter schools, outpatient clinics and specialized inpatient units, including neonatal intensive care units and hospitals. In recent years, she has extended her expertise by supervising clinical fellows and speech-language pathology assistants, modeling agile creativity while fostering their professional development. She remains dedicated to self-evaluation in her supervisory role and direct client interactions.
She joined the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in June 2024 on the San Marcos, CA campus.
