Timothy Tu, DScOT, MEd, OTR

After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Timothy Tu found his calling in education when he taught English in South Korea. Returning to his home state of California, he worked as a high school mathematics teacher before discovering occupational therapy.

Throughout his career, Dr. Tu has provided care to adults in various settings, including inpatient acute rehabilitation, outpatient hand clinics, behavioral health intensive outpatient programs, skilled nursing facilities and performance-optimization teams. He served as an active-duty U.S. Army occupational therapist and transitioned to the Army Reserves in 2021 to pursue an academic career.

Before joining the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2023, Dr. Tu gained experience as a clinical assistant professor and academic fieldwork coordinator at the University of Texas at El Paso.
