Valerie Faul obtained her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2005. With extensive experience in various healthcare settings such as outpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehab and home health, including assisted and independent living facilities, she specializes in upper extremity (UE) dysfunction, particularly of the shoulder. Faul’s expertise is in geriatrics and working with orthopedic surgeons to provide comprehensive treatments for traumatic and non-traumatic UE injuries, which includes custom orthotics fabrication. She also has experience in pediatrics.
Driven by a holistic approach to patient care, Faul is dedicated to adapting environments, tasks and wellness to meet the unique needs of each patient by using science and evidence-based practices. She is passionate about making a positive impact on her patients’ lives, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to maintain their health. As an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, she is excited to share her experience with students, helping to develop future occupational therapists who are equipped to provide high-quality care to their patients.
